Starting 1 July 2025, this program will provide a considerable rebate on the purchase and installation of home battery systems—helping most households save thousands.

• The battery rebate will be delivered through the same trusted program (Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme) that has safely and successfully provided solar subsidies since 2011,  ensuring a smooth and reliable process for Australians.

• In efforts to ensure businesses and community hubs can also benefit from lower energy costs, the program supports battery systems up to 100kWh, with up to 50kWh eligible for the subsidy.
